Schefflera on Lava Rock
Looking for an easy to care for houseplant?
This remarkable plant draws all of the necessary moisture and nutrients from the lava rock it sits on. Keep the bowl 2/3 full of rain water (using tap water will cause white deposits on the stone) and keep it in natural, indirect light. Feed during the growing period.
Gasteria
Also known as “Little Warty”.
Despite it’s unattractive name, this small perennial succulent is not only super cute but also a great start for any beginner. It enjoys full sun to partial shade and only needs watering once the soil has began to dry out.
Kalanchoe Tiger
This species of houseplant is one of the best for purifying the air and is also typically impervious to pests. The flowers can last many weeks (even months if you deadhead) and do return with minimal care.
It likes bright light and heavy watering once it has dried out. Only feed once the flowers have faded or use a special fertiliser designed for flowering plants.
